Cover The Borough
Cover the Borough is our fundraising week, running 12–18 October, as we aim to raise £30,000 to resource our community, youth and family work across Barking Riverside and the wider borough. It's a chance for our whole spiritual family (and everyone who believes in what we're building here) to give whatever they can and help us cover the ground ahead.
Youth Hub
Join us for Youth Hub!
Everyone is welcome from year 6-9 (ages 10-14). This is a space for young people to explore their faith in Jesus, identity and purpose in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment. There’s always fun activities, games and refreshments with a sprinkling of podcast and creative sessions.
Come along every 2nd & 4th Saturday each month!
Prayer and Grappling
Born out of the community that grew through Joes Fight Gym - both men and women - join us for prayer & grappling. Every Saturday at Christ Church Thames View come along to pray, fellowship, grapple and box together. We kick off with prayer at 9.30 and then train from 10.30am.
All denominations and abilities are welcome. The spiritual battle is real; do not be afraid.
21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
From 21 September to 11 October, we're joining together for 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting - a season set apart to seek God as one spiritual family here in Barking Riverside. Whatever you're able to give up, food, screens, something else entirely, this is a chance to slow down, pray with intention and prepare our hearts together as we head towards Cover the Borough. However you're able to take part, you're welcome to join in. Email us to find out more and/get involved.
Youth Podcast: Vision & Planning Session
We’re launching
Echo Youth:
Our Voice. His Word.
A new youth-led podcast exploring faith, purpose, and real-life issues from a Christ-centred perspective. Born out of our growing Youth Hub, collaborating with three other churches and a youth charity, the podcast will now play a key role in our community.
We’re building a creative team and inviting passionate young people, youth leaders, and local voices to get involved. Whether through hosting, storytelling, writing, audio, social media, or simply sharing ideas. Join us on the 8th September and help shape something powerful; an echo of truth, hope and purpose in Christ
